The Shedhorn Grill- Open at Big Sky for 09-10!

From MBA to all our new Shedhorn Grill fans and regular customers, we’d like to thank everybody for an incredible inaugural season of operation! With great early season conditions, we opened for business on December 21, 2009 and continued providing the best lunch on the hill through closing day Sunday, April 11, 2010. Thanks for being patient with us on getting beer and wine on-board, we were stoked to begin providing snow-cold beer and wine selections starting mid-season for thirsty guests. From Big Sky Brewing and Kettlehouse, to Harvest Moon, rotating draft brews and the standard 16oz PBR, the Shedhorn Grill became the spot to relax on-mountain with views of Lone Peak’s Southern exposure to Yellowstone Park from our sun deck. We finished off the season with epic powder days, many ‘gone skiing’ mornings and even an afternoon with live music, we had a blast this winter and look forward to seeing everybody again for bison burgers, elk brats, fresh brews and more sunny powder days! Have a great off-season and we’ll see you all next winter at the Shedhorn Grill.

MBA is excited to announce the debut of the new Shedhorn Grill lunch yurt for the 2009-2010 season at Big Sky! The new yurt, a 30′ diameter beauty handcrafted with love by Hays Daniel and Vince Godby in Troy, Montana at Shelter Designs, offers elk brats, bison burgers, microbrews, and epic views of Lone, Cedar, Pioneer, and Andesite Mountains from its massive sun deck perched at 9000ft and located at the corner of Larkspur and Middle Road trails, skier’s right of the Shedhorn Lift, on the backside of Big Sky’s wild south face.

The Shedhorn Grill is a new venture for us: MBA built the structure, owns the yurt, and operates with an on-premise beer and wine permit and Big Sky Resort lease.
